Compliance
Every statutory deadline on the job, tracked before it becomes a problem.
Holdback release, locate expiry, WSIB and insurance, lien and prompt-payment deadlines — four clocks that usually live in four different places. Vinclo tracks all of them against the same project.
- Holdback release
- Statutory and maintenance release clocks start the moment Substantial Completion is set — surfaced as a warning before either date arrives.
- Locate expiry
- Every Ontario One Call response tracked to its own expiry, with alerts to the PM and foreman before a dig is stopped.
- WSIB & insurance
- Clearance certificates and insurance live as recurring Document Slots — the current one is always the newest valid version, expiry tracked automatically.
- Lien & prompt payment
- Lien expiry and the Construction Act's payment deadlines sit on the project calendar next to the dates that actually drive them.
- Preserve the lien by
- Register a claim for lien (Construction Act s.31)
- Perfect the lien by
- Start a court action and register a certificate of action (Construction Act s.36)
These calculators estimate statutory deadlines under Ontario's Construction Act. They adjust for weekends but not statutory holidays, and they're general information, not legal advice — confirm exact timing with a construction lawyer before relying on a computed date.
How it fits together
One project, every deadline, one calendar.
- 01
Substantial Completion arms the clocks
Setting the Substantial Completion Date starts the statutory and maintenance holdback release clocks, and the lien expiry clock alongside them — one anchor, three deadlines.
- 02
Field compliance stays field-visible
Locate expiry and site safety obligations reach the foreman directly — no PM has to relay a deadline the crew needs to act on today.
- 03
Office compliance stays admin-only
Holdback figures and contract-value-sensitive dates stay with PM, Owner, and Accountant roles — never surfaced to a money-blind foreman.
- 04
Nothing arrives as a surprise
Every clock shows up as a Project Warning before it's overdue, and on the Project Calendar next to the rest of the job's dates.
