Vinclo started with the same story from paving, concrete, and landscaping contractors: the job site and the office run on different information, and the gap between them is where margin quietly disappears.
Why Vinclo
The name means “bond.”
Vinclo is Latin for bond, or tie. That's the whole premise: what a crew does on site and what the office knows about it should be the same information, not two versions reconciled a week later from a truck console full of receipts and a paper timesheet.
The idea came from conversations with Ontario trade contractors who were running $1M–$10M in annual volume on spreadsheets, texts, and PM tools built for general contractors five times their size — tools with no opinion on statutory holdback, Ontario One Call, or what a progress draw actually needs to say. Vinclo is built specifically for that gap: contractors who need real job costing and compliance, without the overhead of enterprise construction software.

A small team, close to the trades.
Vinclo is built by a small, Ontario-based team split between construction operations and software engineering. Every workflow gets checked against how a crew actually captures a receipt or closes out a draw, not how project-management software usually assumes they do — because one of us has run those projects, not just studied them.
