Does field capture work without cell coverage?
Yes. Receipts, hours and daily logs are captured on the phone with no signal. Entries queue on the device and sync the moment coverage returns.
Does Vinclo handle the statutory holdback?
Yes. Every progress draw withholds statutory holdback at the rate you set (10% by default, per company, project or line item), and the release date is tracked in Deadlines. Maintenance holdback runs separately, per line item when you need it.
How do locates get into Vinclo?
Utility responses arrive by email at your company's own ingest address and assemble into one merged PDF for the crew. Assigned PMs and foremen are reminded 7 days and 1 day before expiry. Works with Ontario One Call today. More provinces on the way.
We run everything from spreadsheets today. What does migrating look like?
There is no bulk-import wizard yet. During setup we walk you through creating your active projects, workers and holdback rates directly in Vinclo.
Where does our data live?
In Canada. Your project data is hosted in Canada.
Do you support provinces outside Ontario?
Yes. Vinclo is built for trade contractors across Canada, and holdback rates and release periods are configurable per company and per project. Two parts follow Ontario today. Locates: Works with Ontario One Call today. More provinces on the way. Deadlines: Statutory periods follow Ontario's Construction Act today; other provinces are in progress.
Does Vinclo sync with QuickBooks?
With QuickBooks Online, one way: Vinclo pushes finalized draw invoices, holdback invoices and credit memos to your books, and lists anything that failed so you can retry it. Expenses and timesheets do not sync.
Can we get our data out if we ever leave?
Yes, any time. Settings has a one-click export of your full company data: projects, expenses and timesheets as CSV, plus your receipt photos, bundled into a ZIP. Nothing is locked in.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is per seat: you pay for the people who log in, not for how many projects you run. Request a demo and we'll give you a straight number for your team size, with no drawn-out sales cycle.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Vinclo is billed month-to-month and you can cancel any time. Your data exports in full whenever you need it, subscription active or not.
