Every project gets named Document Slots before a single file is uploaded — so a missing WSIB clearance or an expired insurance certificate is a visible gap, not a surprise at close-out.
- Gaps are visible by design
- A Slot exists whether or not it's filled. An empty required Slot shows up as a project warning — a flat file list could never say what's missing.
- Recurring compliance tracks itself
- WSIB clearance, insurance, and training tickets renew into the same Slot. The newest valid document is current; a lapsed one flags itself.
- Every change is on the record
- Upload, replace, and delete each write an Audit Trail entry — the file is never silently swapped.

Slots generate from your project
Statutory requirements derive live from owner type, contract value, and jurisdiction — a Slot exists before you've uploaded anything.

Upload fills the slot
Site documents, the binder, permits, and close-out live in four fixed tabs, so a foreman and an accountant find the same document in the same place.

Recurring slots track expiry
WSIB clearance and insurance renew into the same Slot — the current one is always the newest valid version, no manual bookkeeping.

Missing or lapsed shows up as a warning
A never-provided requirement and a lapsed one are two different problems, and Vinclo tells you which one you're looking at.
