Change orders that change the contract, not just a folder.

A change order in Vinclo carries the lines you will bill and a change to contract time in days. When the client accepts it, the Schedule of Values and the schedule both move with it.

Sample data. Projects, people and vendors shown on this page are illustrative.

Draft, sent, accepted.

Three states, and everyone can see which one a change is in. Step through the example: nothing touches the contract until the client says yes.

CO-07 · Extra catch basin, Lot 52+$18,400.00 · +4 d
  • Schedule of Values: line 7 added
  • Schedule: projected end moves 4 days

Acceptance updates the Schedule of Values and the end date together.

Marking a change order accepted adds its revenue lines to the Schedule of Values in one atomic step, so the next draw can bill them. The revised contract value is the original plus every accepted change. The schedule's contractual end moves by the days the change order carries.

Every change on the job, in one list.

Each project keeps its change orders in one register, with the number, the status and the amount. Once a change is accepted its amount is contract value, so roles that don't see contract values get its item count instead.

Sent and forgotten shows up in Portfolio.

A change order waiting on the client is work you may be doing unpaid. Portfolio lists every one across the company until it is answered.

Extras are where margin leaks. See them tracked.

We'll walk a change order from draft to the next draw, on a job like yours.
